Gabby & Joe | Love Art

So, let me ask you a few questions.

When was the last time you as a couple had your photos taken?  Since your wedding... never... break out the SELFIE stick!!

Do you think it is only for couples who are engaged?  Have families?  What is holding you back? Are you afraid they are going to be those horrible SEARS portrait posed photos that your parents took you to when you were little?  Yeah, I'd be afraid of that too... thank goodness I don't do that!

What if I told you.... YOU WILL HAVE FUN!?  Yes, that's right!  I personally really dislike that place hand here, pose this way, say CHEESE bullshit - where is the emotion in that?  There isn't any.  We as humans have been trained to think that this is what a photograph is - face the camera and pose - oh wait don't forget to smile! How many times have you stopped dead in your tracks when the camera comes out, stop to pose and give a quick fake smile, or you find yourself going... What do I do? I bet too many times!

Back when film and cameras were invented, people didn't have a choice... all photographs were long exposures so you HAD to sit still! Let's break out of this 19th century mold, get wild and be free!
I want genuine laughter, like belly aching, tear jerking laughter.  I want you to break out of this standard mold of posed to have fun and the whole time you'll be connecting as a couple, creating fun images that you can look back on and say... Hey Babe! Remember that time when Jenn, our crazy photographer, asked you to try and throw me up in the air?
Yeah... that might happen!  Show people who you are as a couple and how happy you are!
Even for you to remember the little things... like the little way your lover plays with your hair, kisses your forehead and holds your hand?  Those little things fill my heart with so much joy and I LOVE getting couples to have fun and connect to create what I call "Love Art"  because your love, your movement your energy and emotion as a couple is an art.  Everyone interacts differently and it is beautiful!

So what is stopping you from changing up your typical date night?  Nothing I hope! Dress up, forget the day to day, immerse yourself in one another and come spend part of your evening with me.

I met Gabby & Joe out on the Sunshine Coast for the Cabin Fever Retreat and oh my gosh - the sweetest couple.  They are so connected and in love.  Their session was so playful, with so much laughter and just them being them! I love how they always kept their movement and with that movement they were able to show me so much emotion.  I love how we came from a big high of running and hand play and just being goofy to slowing it down with an embrace.  I think I am still on a high from photographing these two!
