Emilia + Sebastian | An evening spent in good company

Emilia and Sebastian. These two are just so genuine and their love for one another is just the sweetest - I could just hug these two forever!!!

As a photographer, I really get to observe my couples from a different perspective and through that I get to document how I see them. As I direct at our session, I get to see their body language, the little things that they do that makes their relationship unique and witness the way they look at one another. It is an honour that I don’t take lightly to have a couple open their home, their hearts and their lives to me. Having that honestly and trust in the relationship that I build with my amazing clients helps me really, truly document their love from the outside in and the inside out. I want to capture the real, genuine connections of all the couples I meet.

Starting their engagement session in their home was such a wonderful idea! Cozy cuddles, making coffee together, kitchen dancing and just having fun in a place that they find comfort. Including their sweet fur baby, Diesel was 100% a must! He is a big part of their lives and I wanted to make sure he was also documented in their photos. Both have their creative touches all around their home, beautifully painted walls to gorgeously made wooden shelves. I just love how much character their home has that reflects them
I also learned that Sebastian crafted Emilia’s ring himself and when he asked her to marry him it fit perfectly!

From their home, we went out for a little adventure outside Regina. Took Diesel out for a walk, well he ran, sniffed, dug holes, went for a swim at some point and had a blast, especially photo bombing his humans! Emilia and Sebastian ran, danced, connected and really got to bond and just be themselves. We probably spent 3 hours together but really time just seemed to stand still. Being able to enjoy and be in the moment and not worry about time just makes the session even more enjoyable. I love spending time with my couples, chatting, exploring and documenting what means the most to them.

I have so many favourite images from their session last month and picking a few for this post was so hard.

Enjoy! And if you haven’t seen their Love Reel yet, I’ve got the link posted at the bottom of this blog post!
